Character Creation
Welcome to the Wizarding World. To begin your journey to Hogwarts and beyond, you must first make a character who will represent you in the game. Keep in mind that being a self-insert is not at all encouraged, use your creativity and play someone that you enjoy! Now, step this way over to platform 9 3/4.
Creation
- Start by grabbing the character sheet and make a thread here. Title it with your character's name. Making a name might seem hard, but try using a baby names website or this fun generator.
- Pick a Gender, Age, and Nationality. You need to decide all of your basic information .
It is recommended that you start with a year one student, however, you may start as late as year five. The downside to this is you earn an extra spell per combat (used in Wizard duels)which you will NOT earn without fully RPing out the years! ALSO you will not be able to earn bonus spells/potions, as well as learning ALL of the core spells.
- Decide on what your character looks like and choose a picture to represent them in game. A great resource for this is Hollow Art .
- Choose your house! You get to decide where your character gets sorted.
-Develop a backstory for your character, as basic or elaborate as you would like. 150 word minimum is required. We need a good feel as to why your character is in their specific house.
- Spells are earned through RPing your classes, if you are starting off at year ONE you will not have any but you may add them/use them as you complete classes and earn credit.
- You start with 500 G to spend in Diagon Alley, make sure to get school supplies here as well as open your Gringott's account.
Skipping Ahead Years
You may choose 3 spells from each year you skip. For example, if you skip to year 4, you may not know year 4 spells...but you will know 3 spells from years 1, 2, and 3 for a total of 9 spells. You will not earn your extra spells per combat however, or learn all of the spells/potion recipes, if you do not rp the years out.
